Zamioculcas zamiifolia – ZZ Plant (Large)
Adopted
This ZZ Plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) started small in Baltimore, chosen for its ability to handle low light and seasonal shifts. After moving to South Florida, it revealed just how adaptable it could be—sending up upright stems lined with glossy green leaves that hold steady confidence. Its bulb-like rhizomes sit near the soil surface, storing water and adding a sculptural look that reflects its resilience. Over the years, it’s become one of the more reliable plants in my collection—durable, lasting, and always steady. And yes, the name still makes me think of ZZ Top, which feels perfectly fitting.
