Sansevieria cylindrica – Spear Plant (Large)
Adopted
The Sansevieria cylindrica spear plant, also known as the Cylindrical Snake Plant, has been with me since my Baltimore days—one of the earliest plants I brought south. At first, it was modest, but once rooted in the Florida sun, it transformed into something prehistoric and proud. Its upright, smooth spears now reach out like natural sculptures, with thick new growth emerging each season. Some leaves bear gentle marks from weather and time, which I love—signs of a life lived outdoors, strong and unfiltered.
This spear plant is one of the most versatile I’ve grown—thriving indoors near a sunny window or outdoors in partial shade. It tolerates neglect beautifully, making it a reliable choice for new plant lovers and seasoned collectors alike. For me, the Sansevieria cylindrica spear plant is more than just foliage—it’s a reminder of strength, patience, and calm growth over time.
