Sansevieria zeylanica (Large)

I first spotted this Sansevieria zeylanica growing wild outside a Thai restaurant in Delray Beach. I took home a single cutting, and over time, it’s become one of my favorite growers—upright, bold, and unmistakably striking. Its glossy green leaves are patterned with rugged, wavy striping that reminds me of coral or stone. I never used fertilizer—just water from rinsing rice or pasta—and still, it thrived. It’s strong, elegant, and endlessly reliable indoors or out.
