Sansevieria cylindrica – African Spear Duo “Coffee and Tea” (Medium)

Adopted

“Coffee and Tea” are a paired set of Sansevieria cylindrica, part of my morning ritual in the garden. Every day, I walk past them as they stand tall in their glazed pots, a duo that has quietly become a symbol of routine and calm. Each pot has proper drainage and is filled with fast-draining soil, keeping them healthy and thriving.

Sansevieria cylindrica, also called African Spear or Cylindrical Snake Plant, is loved for its upright, sculptural growth. Unlike the flatter leaves of common Sansevierias, its cylindrical spears rise like green columns—minimalist, architectural, and resilient. Native to Angola, this species tolerates drought, adapts easily to different light levels, and thrives on neglect. For me, “Coffee and Tea” capture both the strength and serenity of this remarkable plant, as dependable as the daily rituals they’re named after.
