Philodendron hastatum – Silver Sword “Syrio” (Small)

“Syrio” is a Philodendron hastatum, also known as the Silver Sword. I adopted this plant from Dyanna, a fellow grower in South Florida whose passion for plants shines through in every cutting she shares. Still young and developing, “Syrio” shows incredible promise—its silvery-blue leaves slowly elongating, each one unfolding like a blade catching the light.

What draws me most is the stem—striped with subtle gradients of green and silver, giving it an almost metallic sheen. The shape is sleek, sculptural, and deliberate, with every new leaf emerging in graceful rhythm. Though it’s still in its early growth, I can already see its bold character forming—steady, elegant, and quietly confident.
