Dracaena marginata – Dragon Tree “Baby Finger” (Small)
Adopted
“Baby Finger” is a Dracaena marginata with a story rooted in chance and renewal. I found it during a neighborhood landscaping project—the crew had been trimming trees, and this little Dragon Tree was left behind–along with a Hawaiian Ti and another Dragon Tree. It was small, fragile, and cut short, but there was life in it yet. I brought it home, repotted it, and with time and sunlight, it began to grow again—each thin stem like a tiny reaching hand.
Native to Madagascar, Dracaena marginata—also known as the Dragon Tree—is admired for its slender, red-edged leaves and sculptural form. It thrives in bright, indirect light and requires minimal care, making it an easy companion for both indoor and outdoor spaces. “Baby Finger” stands as a quiet reminder that even small rescues can grow into lasting stories of strength and recovery.
