Colocasia esculenta – Elephant Ear “Taro” (Large)

I began growing this Colocasia esculenta, often called Elephant Ear or Taro, after moving to South Florida. Its size immediately impressed me—each massive leaf unfurls like a living umbrella, bold and prehistoric in form. When the breeze moves through, the foliage sways with a graceful rhythm that feels both grounding and wild, as if the garden briefly transforms into a tropical forest.
