Cereus forbesii monstrose – Ming Thing “Cloud” (Small)

Adopted

I’d never heard of a “Ming Thing” until I stumbled on this one at a quiet nursery in Maryland. One look, and I was hooked. Its knobby, rippled surface looks like melted stone mid-freeze—twisting in all directions with no clear front or back. Every curve feels like an abstract sculpture, full of movement yet completely still. It grows slow, but every new bulge or ridge feels like a small surprise. This one doesn’t need much—just sunlight, time, and a curious eye.
